Druid extension

Privacy Notice

Druid is designed around local browser processing. It does not require a Druid account and does not operate its own analytics or advertising service.

Data processed locally

To provide its features, Druid may process webpage addresses, page content, network request addresses, discovered media links, saved element rules, settings, playlists, and user scripts inside the browser.

This information is used to block known ads and trackers, remove unwanted elements, apply saved rules, run user scripts, and build video playlists.

Data storage

Settings, custom rules, playlists, and scripts are stored through the browser extension storage system. They remain under the browser profile’s control and may be removed by clearing extension data or uninstalling Druid.

Network access

Druid requests broad website and network permissions because blocking, page cleanup, script execution, and media discovery must work across user-selected websites and embedded frames. Media analysis may temporarily open inactive tabs and request pages directly from their original servers.

Downloads

When the user starts a download, the selected direct media address is passed to the browser’s downloads system. The destination website may receive the ordinary request information associated with that download.

Third-party services

Druid does not intentionally send browsing history, custom rules, playlists, or personal scripts to Druid-owned servers. Websites visited by the user remain governed by their own privacy practices.

User scripts

User scripts can read or modify matching webpages. Only install scripts from sources you trust. Druid cannot guarantee the privacy or safety of third-party script code.

Important limitations

• Tracker blocking does not guarantee anonymity.
• First-party tracking and fingerprinting may still occur.
• Hiding a CAPTCHA does not solve or bypass verification.
• Druid does not remove DRM or copy protection.

Changes

This notice may be updated when Druid’s features or data practices change. The revision date at the top identifies the latest version.
